Library and Learning Services

Learning Services provides assistance for our students and enables them to access the relevant resources which complement their academic studies. We arrange access to the world of information – whether online, multimedia or in print – and the training and support to exploit it to the full.

Situated in the main hanger our friendly and knowledgeable team are here to support you with a range of services, including:

  • Enquiry service in person, via email or our online contact form.

  • 1:1s, group training or workshops on accessing resources, research skills, referencing, dissertation support in person or online depending on your circumstances.

  • Online guides (and video tutorials) for resources and reading lists.

  • Click and Collect Library reservations and self-service borrowing.

We also have thousands of resources for all your research needs, which extends from both digital and physical books to an extensive database provision providing access to online journals and academic papers. Within our collection, we also have access to a wide range of educational video and film content to extend your studies. In addition to this, we have connections in place which allow us to facilitate inter-library loans. If there is a resource that you need and it is not available in our library, please speak to a member of the team and they will be happy to help you with this. Our team is also on hand to aid students with accessing assistive technology when required.

Our library is an inspirational learning space situated in the heart of The University Studies and Professional Development Centre which is open across the week and where you can study, read and relax with access to the following:

  • Study areas including quiet study and tables for group working.

  • Desktop computers.

  • Bring your own device WiFi access.

  • Relaxed seating for informal gatherings.

  • Refreshments available at our cafe.
