Admissions

The admissions team deal with all full time and part time applications to University Studies. If you have any queries, please email universitystudiesadmissions@easterneducationgroup.ac.uk or call 01284 412026 and they will be happy to help.

Full-time Applications

For full-time undergraduate courses, applications should be made through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).

UCAS is an online service which processes your application to the relevant institutions. You must register with the UCAS Hub and fill in your personal details and education history. You will then need to write a personal statement which should be at least 1,000 characters long before you can submit your application and pay your fee.

The personal statement is an opportunity to give a real insight to you as an individual. When we receive applications, we aren’t just looking for qualifications and UCAS points but want to know what studying at US means to you. That is why the personal statement is vital and a crucial part of our admissions process.

Further guidance about how to apply, as well as guidance on how to write a personal statement, can be found on the UCAS website. For more information about University Studies Admissions process, please click here.

The UCAS application fee is £22 for one course or £26.50 for up to five choices.

The University Studies institution code is W46, and the UCAS course codes can be found on our individual course pages on our website. You can view University Studies degree courses by searching “West Suffolk College” in the UCAS search bar.

‘UCAS Extra’ Applications

UCAS Extra applications are welcomed by University Studies. This is another chance for you to gain a degree place if you have used all of your five choices already. If all your choices were either unsuccessful or you have declined them, then UCAS Extra is a way of adding an additional application.

If you have not used all of your choices, you will not need to use UCAS Extra as you can simply add another choice to your existing application.

UCAS Extra opened on 23rd February, make your application via the link below:

Part-time Applications

Many of our undergraduate courses are offered on a part-time basis, offering a more flexible approach to learning, which allows students to complete their studies over a longer period of time. This is often the case for Higher Apprenticeships, where students will study alongside a job in their field.

To apply for part-time study, simply click on your desired course and then click 'Apply Part Time', create an account, and complete your application. This process should take around ten minutes.

Clearing Applications

Clearing refers to a period (usually between July and October) that applicants can apply for courses at universities or colleges that still have vacancies. At University Studies, we welcome clearing applications, find out more via the button below:

Student Finance

There are various forms of financial support available to you while studying. Please visit the Student Finance page for more information:

Personal Statements

All applicants must submit a short personal statement. This is a chance for you to articulate why you want to study your chosen course with us and any skills and experience you possess that shows us your passion. If you are applying for a part time or access course, this will need to be sent to us directly at:

universitystudiesadmissions@easterneducationgroup.ac.uk.
