The BSc (Hons) Digital User Experience Design course equips students with the practical skills and creative mindset needed to succeed in the fast paced world of digital innovation. With User Experience Design (UXD) at its core, the course explores a wide range of digital technologies, offering students a broad and varied learning experience.

UXD is about designing digital products that are easy to use, accessible, and enjoyable. It draws on psychology, design, research, and technology to understand how people interact with digital systems, and how those systems can be improved. Students learn to create user-centred solutions that solve complex problems and deliver meaningful experiences, preparing them to shape the future of digital innovation.

Additional Info: All required hardware and tools will be available on site. For self directed work off site, you may wish to have: a computer capable of running modern creative or development software, a 1TB portable hard drive for storing your work (approx. £40), and a set of wired headphones for audio tasks (approx. £20). These items will help you work more flexibly and continue projects outside scheduled sessions.

Course trips run two or three times per year. These are optional and may be linked to specific modules. Local trips to galleries, studios, or agencies usually cost £40–50. The course may also offer an optional international trip.

Students are also encouraged to attend relevant industry events such as conferences, exhibitions, and festivals. Costs vary depending on ticket type, duration, and location.
